My sister and I planned a baby shower for 1 of our nieces. We decided to have it in the fellowship area of the community church because it was a large guest list. We had the shower on a Saturday afternoon. We decided to use our presents for the baby shower party decorations. I had purchased a pink and white baby blanket, which we hung over the side of the bassinet. We pinned several rattles and other infant toys to the blanket using diaper pins. We then displayed the little outfits that my sister had purchased. We finished the baby shower decorations for the gift table by putting a large stuffed bear into the cradle. It's so much fun to decorating for a baby shower!
For the buffet table we had an arrangement of freshly cut flowers from the local florist. She used soft pink carnations, baby's breathe and daisies for the collection. We decided that no other baby shower festive decorations needed to be placed on this table. We did have pink napkins that we set on this table, along with a cake that was festooned with a stork holding a small doll in a pink frosting blanket.
We had also ordered a corsage for our niece and 1 for each of the new grandmothers to be. We felt that the room looked very good and we wouldn't have to spend a decent deal of time cleaning up baby shower party decorations because they would all be sent home as gifts to our niece.
We had a big turn out for the shower. My niece received quite a few very nice gifts. She was glad that we had the shower in a space that was not cramped. As she progresses with the pregnancy she is feeling more claustrophobic. Within 30 moments after the shower was over the fellowship section was cleaned and we were on our way home.
