A Teacher Inspires His Students To Learn More About Signs Of Alcoholism, Symptoms Of Alcoholism, And Alcoholic Symptoms
Mr. Johnson was one of the health instructors at a small countryside junior high school in the Southern part of the United States. For "Alcohol Attentiveness Month" he decided that he would concentrate on the following three topics for a class project: the symptoms of alcoholism, the signs of alcoholism, and alcoholic symptoms.
After Mr. Johnson finalized the topics that would be given to his students, he made up his mind that he would provide them with their assignment the following Wednesday morning. When "assignment day" finally came, Mr. Johnson met with the pupils in his classroom, handed out some relevant facts and statistics, and then told his pupils about the topics he ultimately selected.
He then gave the members of his class an overview of some key signs of alcoholism and noted how imperative it is to learn how to link these statistics, facts, and symptoms with the real-life circumstances of alcohol dependent individuals. He then gave his class a succinct description about the significance of learning more about alcoholics and how they live on a daily basis.
Mr. Johnson told the students in his class that they could center their attention on one of the three topics or discuss all three topics and how they are interlinked. In actual fact this would be not unlike a general summary but done in a more comprehensive manner.
Another alternative that he offered to the members of his class was the following: pick a topic such as alcohol addiction symptoms and signs, research things in more detail, and then go over three or four symptoms and signs. Mr. Johnson then discussed the fact that the same rationale applies to the other two topics, namely, alcoholic symptoms and the symptoms of alcoholism.
The end result of their research investigation would be a six thousand word term paper and then a fifteen minute oral presentation that would be presented in front of the class. As appreciation for their excellent academic success, those with the top three overall grades on the term paper and on the oral presentation will be invited to present the findings from their inquiry at the district alcoholism and alcohol abuse convention during the last nine days of March.
As noted by Mr. Johnson, due to the fact that there are numerous alcoholism signs and symptoms to choose from, he mentioned that he was not excessively concerned about more than one student selecting the same symptoms and signs for their research project. Certainly, even if multiple students were to choose identical symptoms and signs, the illustrations that are correlated with each symptom or sign would certainly add enough diversity to avoid several students presenting the same content.
Mr. Johnson then discussed the fact that while there are many alcoholism symptoms and signs that could be picked, the variety of alcoholism facts and statistics that could be discussed were almost unlimited. When the topic of alcoholic symptoms was added to the discussion, moreover, the students in the classroom recognized pretty quickly that the three topics would offer a vast amount of material from which to select.
Why did Mr. Johnson pick the signs of alcoholism, the symptoms of alcoholism, and alcoholic symptoms as the topics for this undertaking? Mr. Johnson thought that by boosting the understanding of his students about the negative outcomes of alcoholism and the miserable existence experienced by alcoholics, his pupils might think more shrewdly before they got involved in irresponsible drinking behavior.
